    Aunque los medios de comunicación se refieren a ISIS como DAESH yo seguiré utilizando el acrónimo ISIS. Daesh, el acrónimo árabe (al-dawla al-islâmiyya fi l-’Irâq wa l-shâm, Estado Islámico de Irak y Siria), es una palabra totalmente antijurídica desde la sharía, que para nada habla de Estado o Califato y que, por otro lado, a los miembros del grupo terrorista les disgusta enormemente por tener claras connotaciones negativas, ya que también alude a otro significado peyorativo en árabe, al sonar igual que términos que significan “el que aplasta algo bajo sus pies” o “el que siembra discordia”. Por este motivo muchas cadenas de noticias árabes se refieren a este grupo con el nombre de Daesh o Da’ish. Además, en su forma plural, Daw’aish define a una agrupación de intolerantes que impone su punto de vista de forma violenta sobre los demás. Daesh también hace referencia a un período de caos y guerra entre las tribus árabes que tuvo lugar en el siglo VII. Para mí, su nombre es Estado Islámico porque ese es el nombre que ellos se han dado. No ha ocurrido antes con otras organizaciones terroristas, a las que se siempre se ha citado por su nombre.

    Although the media refers to ISIS as DAESH I will continue to use the acronym ISIS. Daesh, the Arabic acronym (al-dawla al-islâmiyya fi l-’Irâq wa l-shâm, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria), is a totally anti-juridical word from the Sharia, which does not speak of State or Caliphate at all and which, on the other hand, the members of the terrorist group dislike enormously for having clear negative connotations, since it also has clear negative connotations, members of the terrorist group dislike it greatly for having clear negative connotations, since it also alludes to another pejorative meaning in Arabic, sounding the same as terms meaning “he who crushes something under his feet” or “he who sows discord”. For this reason, many Arab news networks refer to this group by the name Daesh or Da’ish. In addition, in its plural form, Daw’aish defines a grouping of bigots who impose their views violently on others. Daesh also refers to a period of chaos and warfare among Arab tribes that took place in the 7th century. To me, their name is Islamic State because that is the name, they have given themselves. It has not happened before with other terrorist organizations, which have always been referred to by their name.
