    La reflexión sobre la relación entre filosofía y cristianismo y, a la postre, entre razón y fe tiene a uno de sus mayores representantes en el recién fallecido Benedicto XVI, tanto en su etapa como profesor universitario, como en sus años como prefecto de la Congregación para la doctrina de la fe y a lo largo de su Pontificado. En el presente artículo, nos centraremos no solo en lo beneficioso de esa relación, sino también en la necesidad intrínseca del encuentro entre ambas realidades. La fe bíblica y la filosofía se encontraron porque están íntimamente ligadas por un objeto común que, si bien no las hace indistintas, las caracteriza.

    Reflection on the relationship between philosophy and Christianity and, ultimately, between reason and faith has one of its greatest representatives in the recently deceased Benedict XVI, both during his time as a university professor and during his years as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and throughout his Pontificate. In this article, we will focus not only on the benefits of this relationship, but also on the intrinsic necessity of the encounter between the two realities. Biblical faith and philosophy met because they are intimately linked by a common object which, although it does not make them indistinct, characterises them.
