Resumen de San Agustín y los bullenses: identidad religiosa y otredad en una ciudad del Antiguo Túnez

  Esta contribución examina el contexto religioso en el cual San Agustín pronunció en Bulla Regia el llamado Sermón 301 A (=Denis 17) a finales del siglo IV d. C, empleando fuentes tanto textuales como arqueológicas (basílicas, mosaicos, cerámica y epigrafía) que atestiguan la fe y las prácticas cristianas de sus habitantes. El objetivo de esta aportación es reconsiderar estos testimonios para arrojar nuevas luces sobre las implicaciones del sermón bullense de San Agustín.

  This contribution examines the religious context in which Saint Augustine pronounced the so-called Sermon 301 A (=Denis 17) in the late 4th century AD, using both textual and archaeological sources (basilicas, mosaics, ceramics, and epigraphy) which attest the Christian faith and practices of its inhabitants. The objective of this paper is to reconsider these testimonies to shed new light on the implications of the bullense sermon of Saint Augustine.
