  La enfermedad del Alzheimer es el tipo de demencia más frecuente. Se caracteriza por un deterioro cognitivo importante y cambios en la conducta. Debido a que se trata de una enfermedad lenta y progresiva en la que el paciente acaba siendo dependiente, es necesario, desde enfermería, ofrecer herramientas y conocimientos tanto al paciente como al cuidador principal para mejorar su calidad de vida.

  Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia. It is characterized by significant cognitive impairment and behavioral changes. Since it is a slow and progressive disease in which the patient ends up being dependent, it is necessary, from nursing, to offer tools and knowledge to both the patient and the main caregiver to improve their quality of life.
