La incontinencia urinaria es la pérdida involuntaria de orina y afecta a la autoestima del paciente, implica aislamiento y reduce la calidad de vida.
La calidad de vida se refiere a la evaluación de la influencia de la salud sobre la capacidad del individuo para tener un grado de funcionamiento que le permita realizar aquellas actividades importantes y que afectan a su bienestar.
Existen estudios que investigan la asociación entre la depresión, la ansiedad y la incontinencia urinaria.
