  El 1 de enero de 2023 entró en vigor la nueva Ley del Deporte. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar las novedades que esta norma introduce en el ámbito deportivo-laboral, y que se centran básicamente en los siguientes aspectos: la promoción de la igualdad por razón de género en el deporte profesional; la garantía del derecho del deportista profesional a la rescisión unilateral de su relación laboral cuando exista incumplimiento grave y culpable de la entidad deportiva; la representación de los deportistas profesionales en los procedimientos concursales de los clubes o entidades deportivas; y la legitimación para negociar los convenios colectivos en el ámbito del deporte profesional.

  On January 1, 2023, the new Sports Law entered into force. The objective of this article is to analyse the novelties that this standard introduces in the field of sports-labour, and which are basically focused on the following aspects: the promotion of gender equality in professional sport; the guarantee of the right of professional athlete to the unilateral termination of their employment relationship when there is serious and culpable breach of the sports entity; the representation of the professional athletes in bankruptcy proceedings of clubs or entities sports; and the legitimacy to negotiate collective agreements in the field of professional sport.
