Relación entre el clima social familiar y la autoestima en los adolescentes

    La presente investigación nace de la pregunta: ¿Influye el clima social familiar en la autoestima de los adolescentes? Para contestar esta interrogante se plantea un estudio no experimental, de enfoque cuantitativo, alcance correlacional y corte transversal. Esta metodología    se aplica a una población de 350 personas (47,1% hombres y 52,9% mujeres) seleccionadas de forma no probabilística, y, caracterizadas por pertenecer a tres grupos etarios, establecidos por jóvenes de 12 a 14 años (36,0%), 15 a 16 años (46,0%) y 17 a 18 años (18,0%). Para la ejecución del estudio, en campo, se utiliza la Escala de Clima social Familiar (FES; Family   Environment Scale) y la Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg (RSE; Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale). El resultado obtenido con la aplicación de estos instrumentos revela que, cuando los elementos de la muestra tienden a subir en la escala de clima social familiar su nivel de autoestima baja. Esto se comprueba con análisis estadístico de correlación y de asociación.

    This research is born from the question: Does the family social climate influence the self-esteem of adolescents? To answer this question, a non-experimental study is proposed, with a quantitative approach, correlational scope and cross section. This methodology is applied to a population of 350 people (47.1% men and 52.9% women) selected in a non-probabilistic way, and, characterized by belonging to three age groups, established by young people between 12 and 14 years old (36, 0%), 15 to 16 years (46.0%) and 17 to 18 years (18.0%). To carry out the study, in the field, the Family Social Climate Scale (FES; Family Environment Scale) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSE; Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale) were used. The results obtained with the application of these instruments reveal that, when the elements of the sample tend to rise on the family social climate scale, their level of self-esteem is low. This is verified with statistical analysis of correlation and association.
