Resumen de Aníbal Ponce in México: self-exile and revision?
The present work, in wich converge the History of ideas (understood as discourse analysis) and the Intellectual history (considering the itineraries and intellectual sociability networks), is centered on the figure and the work of the argentinian Aníbal Ponce. Makes focus in the development of his conceptions about native popular substrates of Latin America (in particular, the gaucho and the indian) throughout the decades of the twenties and thirties, attending especially his stay in Mexico, as a self-exile, between 1937 and 1938.The article nuance the perspectives that conceive the trip to Mexico as a break/rupture between a positivist, eurocentrist and racist Ponce, and an indigenist, spiritualist and latin americanist. Since Ponce is considered a representative of the tradition of the argentinian liberal left, it is intended to make a contribution to the complexity of the analysis of this current.
