Resumen de Evangelizar, rezar e educar: a atuação da Congregação das Irmãs de Nossa Senhora da Imaculada Conceição de Castres no campo educacional em Mato Grosso (1904-1971)

The French Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception of Castres was founded in the city of Castres in France in 1836 by Emilie de Villeneuve. In the year 1847 they began the process of expansion to other continents, and in the beginning of the 20th century, specifically in 1904, they arrived in Cuiabá with the intention of taking over the educandárioAsilo Santa Rita. Since then, the congregation has expanded to other cities, states, countries and continents. Therefore, in this text we seek to analyze the performance of the Blue Sisters in the field of education in Mato Grosso, in the educational institutions under their administration. We seek to understand a little of the process of founding the congregation, of the coming and establishment in Mato Grosso, with a focus on the functioning of education institutions under the direction of the congregation.

A Congregação francesa das Irmãs de Nossa Senhora da Imaculada Conceição de Castres foi fundada na cidade de Castres, na França, em 1836, por Emilie de Villeneuve. No ano de 1847, iniciam o processo de expansão para outros continentes. Já no início do século XX, especificamente em 1904,chegam a Cuiabá com o intuito de assumirem o educandário Asilo Santa Rita. De lá para cá a congregação se expandiu para outras cidades, estados, países e continentes. Nesse texto buscamos analisar a atuação das Irmãs Azuis no campo da educação em Mato Grosso, nas instituições educativas sob sua administração. Procuramos entender um pouco do processo de fundação da congregação, da vinda e estabelecimento em Mato Grosso, com enfoque para o funcionamento das instituições educativas sob a direção da congregação
