Entre a fé e o pecado: o olhar feminino na Incipit Obitvs cvivsdam Abbatis Nancti

    Having as a source of analysis the hagiography Vitas Sanctorum Patrum Emeretensium(Lives of the Fathers of Merida) written by an anonymous visighotic author in the third decade of the seventh century, our focus turns more specifically to the female present in Incipit Obitvs Cvivsdam Abbatis Nancti. Our interest is, regarding the content in this work, identify and reflect on the passages in which the female figure is present, checking what aspects of such a character is associated. We observed that the main character of this narrative, the abbot Nanctus, has a somewhat curious relationship with women, avoiding them anyway.

    Tendo como fonte de análise a hagiografia do período visigodo Vitas Sanctorum Patrum Emeretensium (Vida dos Santos Padres de Mérida), redigida por um autor anônimo no terceiro decênio do VII século, nossa atenção se volta mais precisamente para a figura feminina presente na Incipit Obitvs Cvivsdam Abbatis Nancti. Interessa-nos, em relação ao conteúdo presente na obra, identificar e refletir sobre as passagens em que a figura feminina está presente, verificando a quais aspectos tal personagem está associada. Observamos que o personagem principal desse relato, Nanctus, tem uma relação curiosa com as mulheres, evitando que estas o vejam de qualquer forma.
