En tiempos de prisa, consumo inmediato y hasta de cierta irreflexión, no son pocas las caras de extrañeza que surgen cuando alguien se presenta como docente de Filosofía. Siempre parece acompañarnos la sensación de incomodar por esa socrática costumbre, tan nuestra, de hacer preguntas sobre lo que pasa a nuestro alrededor y también en nuestro interior. Hemos de reconocer que somos una especie de rara avis, más aún cuando tenemos el convencimiento de que el diálogo, que no la negociación, constituye la herramienta más adecuada para hacer avanzar el conocimiento. Sólo en el intercambio de ideas se corre nada más y nada menos que el riesgo de cambiar de opinión. En cierto modo, bien podríamos afirmar que el diálogo filosófico constituye la aventura intelectual por excelencia. Por eso y porque esta tarea nunca es a título individual, recibimos con gran entusiasmo la invitación de la Sociedad Asturiana de Filosofía a este congreso y, en especial, la idea y la iniciativa de poner en contacto a asociaciones de filosofía de otras comunidades con el fin de participar en distintas actividades, estar en comunicación y emprender futuras acciones en común.

In times of haste, immediate consumption and even some thoughtlessness, there are many strange faces that appear when someone presents themselves as a Philosophy teacher. We always seem to be accompanied by the feeling of being bothered by that Socratic habit, so ours, of asking questions about what is happening around us and also within us. We have to recognize that we are a kind of rara avis, even more so when we are convinced that dialogue, not negotiation, is the most appropriate tool for advancing knowledge. Only in the exchange of ideas is there nothing more and nothing less than the risk of changing your mind. In a certain way, we could well affirm that the philosophical dialogue constitutes the intellectual adventure par excellence. For this reason and because this task is never carried out individually, we enthusiastically receive the invitation from the Asturian Philosophy Society to this congress and, in particular, the idea and initiative of putting philosophy associations from other communities in contact with the in order to participate in different activities, be in communication and undertake future actions in common.
