Cooperación, entre pelo y (anti)racismo

    La internacionalización es uno de los objetivos de la Educación Superior, aspecto abordado en relación a la iniciativa “El pelo/cabello es epistemología”, actividad de participación binacional, con el (re)conocimiento de temas de estudio tan relevantes como poder, pelo/cabello, feminismo y (anti)racismo. Realizamos la sistematización de un intercambio de experiencias entre la Universidad Técnica “Luis Vargas Torres” de Esmeraldas (Ecuador) y la Universidad de Jaén (España), a través de un proceso iniciado “desde abajo” y que ha propuesto otra forma de cooperar. La metodología ha rodeado el artivismo desde una decidida posición (anti)racista y feminista. El objetivo ha sido crear un espacio activista de cooperación para compartir proyectos de intervención e investigación que innovasen y tuvieran compromiso con el territorio, partiendo del conflicto que produce el pelo/cabello asociado a “raza” y ésta al poder, triangulación extrapolable a otros sures de fuerte evidencia sociocultural en el impacto de la acción (anti)racista.

    Internationalisation is one of the objectives of Higher Education, within this maxim in this work we carry out the systematisation and review of an exchange of educational and vital experiences between the Technical University “Luis Vargas Torres” of Esmeraldas (Ecuador) and the University of Jaén (Spain), through a process initiated “from below” and which has proposed another way of cooperating. The aspect addressed has taken place within the initiative “Hair is epistemology”, an activity of binational participation, with the (re)knowledge of relevant topics of study such as power, hair as a social category, feminism and (anti)racism. The methodology has surrounded activism, from a decidedly (anti)racist, decolonial and feminist position, based on the subjectivation and interpretation of experiences. The aim has been to create an activist space of cooperation to share research spaces that innovate and have commitments, through intervention projects, with the territory. All of this within the conflictive and problematic context that produces hair/hair associated with the confusing idea of “race”. In short, an analysis to cooperate, educate and raise awareness, as well as to analyse and reflect on the complex system of power relations, and which allows this experience to be extrapolated to other social spaces where there is evidence of the huge impact of racist actions.

    L'internationalisation est l'un des objectifs de l'enseignement supérieur, et c'est dans cette optique que ce travail systématise et examine un échange d'expériences édu-catives et vitales entre l'Université technique “Luis Vargas Torres” d'Esmeraldas (Équateur) et l'Université de Jaén (Espagne), par le biais d'un processus initié “par le bas” et qui a proposé une autre manière de coopérer. L'aspect abordé a eu lieu dans le cadre de l'initiative “Hair is epistemology”, une activité de participation binationale, avec la (re)connaissance de sujets d'étude pertinents tels que le pouvoir, les cheveux en tant que caté-gorie sociale, le féminisme et l'(anti)racisme. La méthodologie a entouré l'activisme, à partir d'une position résolument (anti)raciste, décoloniale et féministe, basée sur la subjec-tivation et l'interprétation des expériences. L'objectif était de créer un espace militant de coopération pour partager des espaces de recherche qui innovent et s'engagent, par le biais de projets d'intervention, avec le territoire. Tout cela dans le contexte conflictuel et problématique qui produit des cheveux/poils associés à l'idée confuse de “race”. En bref, une analyse pour coopérer, éduquer et sensibiliser, ainsi que pour analyser et réfléchir sur le système complexe des relations de pouvoir, et qui permet d'extrapoler cette expérience à d'autres espaces sociaux où il existe des preuves de l'impact énorme des actions racistes.
