Resumen de Twitch como alternativa a la televisión

  Twitch se ha convertido en una nueva herramienta para comunicarse y querer transmitir un mensaje en forma de contenido audiovisual al público. El estallido de la pandemia provocada por la COVID-19 y su posterior confinamiento, ha propiciado un aumento en los usuarios de la plataforma, hasta tal punto de convertirse en todo un fenómeno social a nivel mundial, haciendo que la plataforma Twitch en España obtenga grandes cuotas de audiencia que pueden llegar a competir con una televisión que ha perdido un sector del público en pro de esta plataforma digital. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es explorar si Twitch tiene el potencial necesario para sustituir a la televisión. Como resultado, se han podido analizar y dar respuestas a los objetivos presentados en este trabajo, así como llegar a conclusiones que confirman las hipótesis planteadas. Estos resultados se han obtenido gracias a la investigación bibliográfica, así como a los testimonios de las entrevistas a profesionales del sector. Se concluye que Twitch como plataforma es una potencial competidora de la televisión y que debe su reciente crecimiento exponencial, a la época de confinamiento provocada por la pandemia.

  Twitch has become a new tool for communicating and wanting to convey a message in the form of audiovisual content to the public. The outbreak of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 and its subsequent confinement, has led to an increase in the users of the platform, to such an extent that it has become a worldwide social phenomenon, making the Twitch platform in Spain obtain great audience quotas that can compete with a television that has lost a sector of the public in favor of this digital platform.The main objective of this research is to explore whether Twitch has the potential to replace television. As a result, it has been possible to analyze and give answers to the objectives presented in this work, as well as to reach conclusions that confirm the hypotheses.These results have been obtained thanks to bibliographic research, as well as testimonials from interviews with professionals in the sector. It is concluded that Twitch as a platform is a potential competitor to television and that it owes its recent exponential growth to the time of confinement caused by the pandemic.
