  We examine two allophony phenomena in the Basque dialect of Azpeitia, in the Urola Valley of Gipuzkoa. Both phenomena, which are also found in many other Basque varieties, involve potential neutralization of phonemic contrasts. First, in intervocalic position /r/ and /d/ may alternate with each other, and both consonants may also be deleted. From the analysis of a conversational corpus, we conclude that the most frequent of these processes is the deletion of /r/ and that this is subject to both phonological and morphological conditions. Secondly, we undertake an acoustic analysis of the palatal lateral and the palatal approximant. The results show that these two phonemes have not yet merged in Azpeitia Basque.

  Artikulu honetan bi alofonia-gertakari miatzen ditugu Azpeitiko euskaran. Biak ala biak beste euskal hizkera askotan ere aurkitzen dira. Lehen eta behin, bokalarteko /r/ eta /d/ kontsonanteen alofonia aztertzen dugu corpus batean. Maiztasunik handiena duen gertakaria dardarkariaren galera da. Gertakari horrek baldintza fonologiko eta morfologiko zehatzak ditu. Bigarrenik, hurbilkari eta albokari palatalak aztertzen ditugu akustikoki. Gure emaitzen arabera, bi fonema horiek ez dira oraindik berdindu Azpeitiko euskaraz.
