    La lectura que hacemos de la cultura urbana nos conduce a una interpelación que reúne diferentes significados de los observadores que desde un punto de caminar interactúan visualmente con la ciudad. Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar desde un encuentro interdisciplinario el contenido de las pinturas en Valparaíso y su relación con los componentes simbólicos y culturales inscritos en el espacio urbano de la ciudad portuaria. El enfoque a desarrollar es interdisciplinario porque integra dos disciplinas: Etnosemiótica y Arquitectura; dos disciplinas de representación e interpretación del espacio urbano habitado, conocidas y reapropiadas en torno a una conferencia de la pintura en Valparaíso. La escritura nos conduce a un análisis de las prácticas sociales del lugar habitado, a interpretaciones del espacio reconocidas y firmadas, y a una descripción estética de las formas arquitectónicas que sustentan el contenido de las pinturas.

    The lecture we do of the urban culture conducts us to an interpellation which puts together different meanings of the observers who from a point of walking is interacting visually with the city. This article has the aim of presenting from an interdisciplinary encounter the content of the paintings in Valparaiso and their relationship with the symbolic and cultural components inscribed in the urban space of the harbour city. The approach to develop is interdisciplinary because it integrates two disciplines: Ethnosemiotics and arquitectura; two disciplines of representing and interpretating the inhabitated urban space, known and reappropriated around a lecture of the paintings in Valparaiso. The writing conducts us to an analysis of the social practices of the inhabitated place, to recognized and signed interpretations of space, and to an aesthetic description of the arquitectonical forms which support the content of the paintings
