Resumen de El taller: La supervivencia del locus del aprendizaje de la Arquitectura

Este artículo contribuye a la construcción de la noción operativa de lo común en arquitectura, a través de una reflexión que busca valorizar el papel que juega el Taller como estrategia de aprendizaje en arquitectura. Se aborda el tema desde una perspectiva histórica de la enseñanza-aprendizaje del arquitecto, comentando las etapas y evolución de la misma desde los tiempos de Vitrubio, pasando por Gropius hasta la actual sociedad del conocimiento, destacando como el taller ha sido parte de la arquitectura a través del tiempo, de Europa hasta América Latina. Para finalizar se discuten las razones por las cuales, el taller, pese a los avances tecnológicos con los que cuenta el arquitecto de hoy seguirá siendo un momento y un lugar obligado en su praxis y en su aprendizaje.

This article contributes to the construction of the operative notion of the common in architecture, through a reflection that seeks to valorize the role of the workshop as a learning strategy in architecture. The issue is approached from the historical perspective of the teaching-learning architect, commenting on its stages and evolution since the days of Vitruvius and continuing on through Gropius to the current knowledge society, highlighting how the workshop has been part of architecture throughout time, from Europe to Latin America. Finally, the article discusses the reasons why the workshop, despite technological advances that architects can utilize today, will continue being a time and place essential to their practice and their learning.
