    Esta investigación aborda el análisis del espacio urbano del eje vial de la vía 40 y borde del Rio Magdalena, en el Sector El Oasis, un sector importante en la ciudad, caracterizado por albergar disímiles actividades económicas, sometido a diversos procesos urbanísticos, que hoy se proyectan en la ciudad de Barranquilla. Un entorno que se mueve en la incertidumbre planteada por la existencia y aparición de infraestructura de conectividad (contexto físico-espacial) con el nuevo desarrollo urbanístico de frente del Rio Magdalena, en el que el espacio público tiene un papel determinante como infraestructura colectiva. Lo que nos lleva a la reflexión de la necesidad de una propuesta de trasformación urbana integral que le revalorice y conecte este sector, a través del diseño urbano sostenible, garantizando la proximidad y acción de la ciudadanía desde una perspectiva espacial, visual y emotiva en un contexto urbano hoy deteriorado, pero en proceso de regeneración.

    This research deals with the analysis of the urban space of the road axis of track 40 and the edge of the Magdalena River, in the El Oasis Sector, an important sector in the Barranquilla city, characterized by housing dissimilar economic activities, subjected to various urban processes, which today project in the city. An environment that moves in the uncertainty posed by the existence and appearance of connectivity infrastructure (physical-spatial context) with the new urban development in front of the Magdalena river, in which the public space has a determining role as a collective infrastructure. Which brings us to the reflection of the need for a comprehensive urban transformation proposal that revalues and connects this sector, through sustainable urban design, guaranteeing the proximity and action of citizens from a spatial, visual and emotional perspective in a urban context deteriorated, but in the process of regeneration.
