Evolución de la concentración de la precipitación y su desfase en San Fernando

    Se presentan y definen una índice concentración de la precipitación, el IDMA, así como el desfase de la precipitación en un año para series de precipitación mensual. Estos índices se aplican a la serie de precipitación de San Fernando (1839-2000). La concentración de la precipitación anual en San Fernando muestra una tendencia creciente significativa al 1 %. Existen diferencias significativas entre años secos y húmedos tanto en cuanto al valor del IDMA, que denota más concentración de la precipitación en los años húmedos, como en cuanto al desfase, más adelantada la precipitación en estos años. El desfase de la mayor parte de los años cae en diciembre o enero. Efectuando un análisis de tendencias del IDMA para años clasificados de acuerdo con su desfase se observa que la tendencia se concentra en los años con desfase en enero, y en estos es muy pronunciada.

    An index forthe concentration of the precipitation, the IDMA, as well as the lag of the precipitation in the year for monthly precipitation series are introduced and defined. These indices are applied to the precipitation series of San Fernando (1839-2000). The concentration of the annual precipitation shows an increasing trend significant at the 1% level. There are significant differences between dry and wet years in the value of the IDMA, with wet years having more concentrated precipitations, and also in the lags, with wet years receiving the precipitation earlier in the year. For a majority of the years the lags fall in December or January. Analysing the trends in the IDMA after classifying the years according to their lags shows that the trend concentrates itself in the years with lag in January, and in these years the trend is very pronounced.
