    La présente étude s'intéresse aux  nécrologies publiées dna la presse àl'occasion de la mort de Jules et surtout de celle d'Edmond de Goncourt. Grâce à Retronews et à Gallica nous avons pu estimer la façon dont la presse française appréhende ces deux décès à 26 ans d'intervalle.

    Thanks to Retronews, we went through the obituaries and analysed the treatment of the disappearances of the two Goncourt brothers in the press. By comparing these texts, we wanted to examine the place they occupied in the world of letters 26 years apart. This research helps us to understand better the influence of naturalism at the end of the century novel.
