En este trabajo se presenta una reflexión inédita sobre la cultura renacentista en Valencia durante los siglos XV y XVI. Para ello, se estudia la historia textual de tres sonetos en vulgar italiano que aparecieron por primera vez en la segunda edición del Cancionero General de Hernando del Castillo (Valencia, 1514) y que, posteriormente, fueron fijados en su versión definitiva por el autor, Bartolomeo Gentile Fallamonica, introduciendo importantes mejorías tanto léxicas como estilísticas.

In this paper an original reflection on Renaissance culture in the Valencia area during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries is presented. For this purpose, the object of study is the textual history of three sonnets in vulgar Italian which appeared for the first time in the second edition of Hernando del Castillo’s Cancionero General (Valencia, 1514) and that were subsequently fixed in their definitive version by the author, Bartolomeo Gentile Fallamonica, introducing in the process important lexical and stylistic improvements.
