    The present work brings a discussion about the trajectory of the Brazilian artist Geraldo de Barros, presenting a little of his life, history, as well as his contributions in different areas related to the arts. Then we will make a critical and factual reading of two of hisworks of art, entitled: “Movimento Contra Movimento” and “Fotoforma”. In this analysis some artistic and technical characteristics identified in the works were highlighted. Finally, we will make a second reading of the works, this time from the perspective of Projective Geometry with emphasis on homological transformations, seeking to identify possible relationships between the determining elements in the creation of the works.

    O presente trabalho traz uma discussão sobre a trajetória do artista brasileiro Geraldo de Barros, apresentando um pouco de sua vida, história, bem como suas contribuições em diferentes áreas ligadas às artes. Em seguida faremos uma leitura crítica e factual sobre duas de suas obras de arte, intituladas: “Movimento Contra Movimento” e “Fotoforma”. Nesta análise foram evidenciadas algumas características artísticas e técnicas identificadas nas obras. Por fim faremos uma segunda leitura das obras, desta vez sob a perspectiva da Geometria Projetiva com ênfase nas transformações homológicas, procurando identificar possíveis relações entre os elementos determinantes na criação das obras.
