    Análisis de la manifestación religiosa de la Bajada de la Virgen de las Nieves de la isla de La Palma por medio del estudio del ritual religioso desarrollado por el sociólogo francés Émile Durkheim. Aproximación al ritual histórico y a la importancia del valor simbólico de los ritos relacionados con la Bajada de la Virgen; ritos que actúan como herramientas para crear y asegurar una serie de rasgos identitarios, para regular el comportamiento de la sociedad mediante la práctica de creencias y valores comunitarios compartidos, así como para fortalecer la cohesión social de esta comunidad isleña.

    Analysis of the religious manifestation of The Descent of the Virgin of the Snow on La Palma Island through the study of the religious ritual developed by the French sociologist Émile Durkheim. Approach to the historical ritual and the importance of the symbolic value of the rites related to the Descent of the Virgin; rites that act as tools to create and ensure a series of identity traits, to regulate the behaviour of society through the practice of shared community beliefs and values, as well as to strengthen the social cohesion of this island community.
