    El objetivo de este trabajo es, de forma resumida, exponer lasprincipales características de la prostitución entre los siglos XI y XIII en lascoronas de Castilla y de León atendiendo a las fuentes de tipo legislativo,con especial atención a la fuente foral, e intentando cotejar las mismas conlas fuentes historiográficas. Así mismo, analizaré las posibles circunstan-cias que rodeaban a la prostitución ya sea su condición jurídica, el espaciofísico que ocupaban o la evolución que sufre el oficio a lo largo de estossiglos

    The main purpose of this article, in summary, it’s to expose themost important characteristics forms in the prostitution between the XIthand the XIIIth century in the kingdoms of Castille and Leon paying attentionto the law specifically the local law (the «fuero»), and trying to explainthose sources with the historiography. Moreover, I’ll try to analyze themain circumstances that surround the prostitute’s life like the legal condi-tion, the space that they have in this society or the evolution that the pro-fession may suffered in this centuries
