  • Resumen
    • Low resolution mass spectrometry (LRMS) is used lo evoluate the chemical composilion changes produced by the hydrotreatmenl of several streoms. Most of these streoms moy be used os feedslocks lor FCC process. The effect of catolytic hydrotreoiment on the physicochemical quoli ty of the si reams, is deterrnined in o gener.al way and sorne considerations os regords to their processability in the FCC units are made. The hydrogen consumption values of the feedstocks not containing vaccu;n resiclues (90% distills uncler 83 8, 7 K), calculated from the mass spectrometry dota are very similar lo !hose ca lc ulated from the elemental anolysis dota of the feedstocks and the hydrotreoted products as well. The high contenl of unidentified compounds in the feeds with voccum residues did noi allow ed ihe hydrogen comsumpt ion calculotions but the results were consisten! in regard to the voriations of the differeni types of compound concenlrations.
