    This paper is a simple and structured explanation of the criteria that have been used for the search, selection, organization, presentation and editing of the Catalogue of Archi-tectures of the Atlas of the Port of Mahon, as well as the first volume of the PhD thesis in progress Atles del Port de Maó. Un paisatge des de la col·lecció, by the same author (DPA-UPC). It consists of a catalogue of all those architectural references neces-sary to develop the argument and the conclusions of the thesis itself, in kee-ping with the documentary rigor on which they are based. The catalogue however is designed to function inde-pendently of the thesis and is meant to be consulted as a document in its own right. Its main purpose is to explain what can be found in the port and what the port is.The term “References” of architec-ture, not “pieces”, is used because the paper includes architectural works but also unbuilt projects, projects for infras-tructures and planning documents, in an attempt to do two things: to show the inclusive dimension of everything that participates in the landscape of the port of Mahón in terms of architec-ture, urbanism and infrastructures, and to understand, through the aggrega-tion of architectures from different fields, a new landscape and manage-ment area of the port studied.

    Aquest article és una explicació, senzilla i estructurada, dels criteris que han servit per a la recerca, selecció, organització, presentació i edició del Catàleg d’Arquitectures de l’Atles del Port de Maó, que alhora esdevé el primer volum de la tesi doctoral en curs Atles del Port de Maó. Un paisatge des de la col·lecció, del mateix autor (DPA-UPC). Un catàleg de totes aquelles referències d’arquitectura necessàries per al desenvolupament de l’argumen-tari i les conclusions de la propi tesi, a la recerca del rigor documental sobre el qual aquestes es fonamenten. Però que, alhora, està concebut de manera autò-noma, amb la vocació de poder-se consultar com un document amb enti-tat pròpia.
