    La Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), estableció las metas que los Estados deberán de atender en materia de desarrollo, cuidado del medioambiente y mitigación/adaptación al cambio climático. Como parte de las acciones encaminadas a cumplir con tales metas, en América Latina se adoptó el Acuerdo Regional conocido como “Acuerdo de Escazú”, con la finalidad de garantizar el derecho a un medioambiente sano por medio de la erradicación de la discriminación. Esta investigación tiene como propósito analizar los criterios establecidos en el ámbito de justicia ambiental en México, para garantizar el derecho humano a un medioambiente sano a los grupos vulnerables, en específico a las comunidades indígenas; con la finalidad de identificar los aciertos y áreas de oportunidad para su protección.

    The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations Organization (UN), established the goals that States must meet in terms of development, care for the environment and mitigation/adaptation to climate change. As part of the actions aimed at meeting these goals, the Regional Agreement known as the “Escazú Agreement” was adopted in Latin America, with the aim of guaranteeing the right to a healthy environment through the eradication of discrimination. The purpose of this research is to analyze the criteria established in the field of environmental justice in Mexico, to guarantee the human right to a healthy environment for vulnerable groups, specifically indigenous communities; in order to identify the successes and areas of opportunity for their protection.
