Resumen de Panorámica Cultural de la figura del docente en Chile: Lectura intermedial de una caída

  Considerando el temple social y cultural de la educación, el objetivo del presente trabajo es profundizar en el estatus ideológico de lo que podemos denominar “la figura del profesor de escuela”, para problematizar acerca de los sistemas pedagógicos, insertos en el sistema escolar chileno y representados por los personajes docentes del corpus escogido. Para ello, se opta por indagar un territorio investigativo que no ha sido lo suficientemente explorado, como lo es su representación en la escritura literaria y algunas obras cinematográficas recientes, en Chile, aplicando una metodología intermedial. Bajo el paradigma intermedial del conocimiento, es decir, considerando los elementos, estéticas y cruces que tienen diversas disciplinas artísticas, se propone revisar los objetos culturales seleccionados. Bajo este paradigma, las relaciones entre los objetos del corpus, cualquiera sea su sistema de signos, permitirá un análisis integrado y profundo, que propiciará la exploración de elementos propios de los sistemas pedagógicos, enquistados en el actuar de los personajes-docentes. En, síntesis, el profesor o la profesora como signo del sistema escolar despliega una representación social potente en la narrativa y también en algunas piezas cinematográficas nacionales recientes. Ante cada uno de estos personajes-docentes, es posible preguntarse, por ejemplo, ¿qué modelos de educación representan? ¿Cuáles son las visiones sobre la educación que la obra construye?, luego de considerar que parece ser un lugar común que el sistema escolar de los últimos treinta años sea de carácter neoliberal.

  Considering the social and cultural temper of education, the aim of this paper is to deepen in the ideological status of what we can call "the figure of the school-teacher", to problematize about the pedagogical systems, inserted in the chilean school system and represented by the teaching characters of the chosen corpus. For this purpose, we decided to investigate a research territory that has not been sufficiently explored, such as its representation in literary writing and some recent cinematographic works in Chile, applying an intermediate methodology. Under the intermediate paradigm of knowledge, that is, considering the elements, aesthetics and crossings that have different artistic disciplines, we propose to review the selected cultural objects. Under this paradigm, the relations between the objects of the corpus, whatever their system of signs, will allow an integrated and deep analysis, which will propitiate the exploration of elements of the pedagogical systems, embedded in the actions of the teacher-characters. In short, the teacher as a sign of the school system displays a powerful social representation in the narrative and in some recent national cinematographic pieces. Before each of these teacher-characters, it is possible to ask, for example, what models of education do they represent? What are the visions about education that the work constructs, after considering that it seems to be a commonplace that the school system of the last thirty years is of neoliberal character.
