    The aim of the paper is to present different types of texts written by clerics of the Office of pontifical ceremonies at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. The author will try to explain why in this period the production of texts such as ceremonials, ordines, tractatus, diaries and liturgical commentaries was particularly intensive

    Obiettivo dell’articolo è presentare le varie tipologie di testi che furono scritti nell’ambito dell’Ufficio delle cerimonie pontificie a cavallo tra il XV e il XVI sec. Cercheremo di spiegare perché in quel periodo crebbe notevolmente la produzione di testi quali i cerimoniali, gli ordines, i tractatus, i diari e i commentari alla liturgia.
