    A partir de la aceptación que en el amplio mundo de la cultura pedagógica los desafíos de educar sistemáticamente y orientar están dotados de una misma naturaleza y, en razón de ello, el primer vital escenario donde enfrentarlos corresponde al aula y la primera responsabilidad de asumir esa misión al profesor que está con sus alumnos; el presente artículo propone una reflexión respecto de la sustancial tarea orientadora que puede llevar adelante el profesor de educación física, sumándose significativamente al subsidio del proyecto de vida que empieza a construir quien aprende, desde sus primeros años en la escuela (1)

    Starting from the premise that if we accept that in the ample world of the pedagogical culture, the challenges of educating and counseling are systematically formed of the very same nature and, because of this, the first vital settings from where to tackle them corresponds to the classroom and the first responsibility in assuming that mission belongs to the educator that is with his/her students; the following anide offers a reflection conceming the substantial counseling work that can be carried out by the physical education teacher who is significant in helping the student build his life-long project from the first years of school.
