Current Science, Technology and Society approaches understand scientific innovations as coproduced throught the interactions between social and techno-scientific orders. The agents in this co-production are multiple, from researchers to citizens, media and stakeholders groups. They all participate in the governance of science and establishing areas of debate regarding re-evaluate the forms of knowledge production. A review of Health Communication most cited articles presents very different scenario. overall scenario that deepens the gap between experts and patients and promotes medicalization of life. Public participation, legitimation of non scientific knowledge, and debates for including social and political arguments in health gobernance are nor relevant in the current research in Health Communication.
