Resumen de Tendencias y desafíos de los programas de posgrado latinoamericanos en contextos de COVID-19

El presente artículo tiene como propósito revelar las tendencias y desafíos de los programas de posgrado latinoamericanos ante la inminente situación de educación confinada por efecto del COVID-19. Se ha optado por la modalidad de investigación documental mediante la sistematización y análisis de fuentes bibliográficas, hemerográficas y referenciales. Los resultados en cuanto a tendencias se agruparon en tres categorías: la gestión, la investigación y el desarrollo curricular; siendo que los mayores desafíos apuntan al mejoramiento de la calidad con currículos transdisciplinarios, e investigaciones pertinentes y colaborativas a nivel regional, así como el aseguramiento de capacidades tecnológicas sustentables. Se concluye que la pandemia ha significado un punto de inflexión en la evolución del sistema universitario latinoamericano, y ante ello los posgrados tienen el reto de “innovar-se”, para lo cual deben evaluar los efectos académicos y gerenciales que han sido vivenciados durante el confinamiento, a los fines definir y adecuar los modelos de gestión, de investigación y los diseños curriculares en atención a los emergentes perfiles profesionales que el nuevo entorno pospandémico está avizorando .

The purpose of this article is to reveal the trends and challenges of Latin American graduate programs in the face of the imminent situation of confined education due to the effect of COVID-19. The modality of documentary research has been chosen through the systematization and analysis of bibliographic, newspaper and referential sources. The trend results were grouped into three categories: management, research, and curriculum development; being that the greatest challenges point to quality improvement with transdisciplinary curricula, and pertinent and collaborative research at the regional level, as well as the assurance of sustainable technological capabilities. It is concluded that the pandemic has meant a turning point in the evolution of the Latin American university system, and before this the postgraduate students have the challenge of “innovating”, for which they must evaluate the academic and managerial effects that have been experienced during the confinement, in order to define and adapt the management, research and curricular designs models in response to the emerging professional profiles that the new post-pandemic environment is envisioning.
