Resumen de Induction, Laws of Nature and Inference to the Best Explanation
What is the best explanation of our observed regularities, such as all observed ravens are black? In this paper, two potential competing explanations on laws of nature are discussed: the timeless necessity of David Armstrong and a new brand of necessity – Helen Beebee’s time-limited necessity. It will be defended, against Beebee, that the timeless necessity explanation constitutes a better explanation of our observed regularities than does the time-limited necessity explanation.
