    El presente trabajo reflexiona la novela Chambú (1946) de Guillermo Edmundo Chaves. El mismo da cuenta de la representación de fronteras, límites y seres del otro mundo, cuyas enunciaciones cumplen un rol clave dentro de la literatura colombiana. En esta dimensión, a través de un método hermenéutico, se estima alcanzar resultados de sumo impacto, debido a que, por un lado, este tipo de análisis no son comunes y requieren de una nueva mirada; por otro, permitirá al mundo académico y al público en general, conocer acerca de las cosmovisiones y devenires culturales afincados en la frontera colombo-ecuatoriana. En suma, se pretende desacralizar aquellos cánones que han considerado que este tipo de representaciones son deleznables para la cultura. De ahí que es importante demostrar que dichas figuraciones permiten que la sociedad se mueva de manera distinta, de cara a hilvanar nuevos esplendores narrativos.

    This work reflects the novel Chambú (1946) by Guillermo Edmundo Chaves. It gives an account of the representations of borders, limits and beings from the other world, whose enunciations play a key role in Colombian literature. In this dimension, through a hermeneutical method, it is estimated to achieve results of great impact, because, on the one hand, this type of analysis is not common and requires a new look; on the other, it will allow the academic world and the general public to learn about worldviews and cultural developments based on the Colombian-Ecuadorian border. In short, it is intended to desecrate those canons that have considered that this type of representation is despicable for culture. Hence, it is important to show that these figurations allow society to move in a different way, in order to weave together new narrative splendours.
