Resumen de Una noción dinámica de la representación mental en el marco de un realismo natural

Eduardo Manuel González de Luna

  • Perception is a process that involves representations, of which the perceiver is not always aware. From a natural realism, it is proposed that direct perception of the objects of the physical world is consistent with a model of mind that involves representations. It is suggested a deflationary notion of mental representations as operations, activities, modes or states produced in the perceptual process. As predecessors of this dynamic notion of representation, it is presented the concepts of sign in Thomas Reid and Charles Peirce.
