Tendencias investigativas sobre la incursión de tecnologías inmersivas en el turismo: un análisis bibliométrico

  • Given the growth of the use of immersive technologies in the tourism sector, this research arises with the objective of analyzing the trends in the subject from a bibliometric analysis, allowing to have a more updated look on the research dynamics. A search of information is made in a specialized database with the use of a search equation that reports a total of 152 results for the development of bibliometric indicators that allow analyzing the academic production found. It is found that augmented and virtual reality are the most widely used technologies, as well as the important ways in which technologies are applied to various scenarios and processes within tourism, such as cultural tourism, virtual tours, applications to promote tourist and heritage destinations.
