La catedral de Burgos posee una de las noticias más antiguas referidas a la historia del órgano en España, al mismo tiempo que conserva uno de los patrimonios sonoros más interesantes.
El objetivo de este trabajo es trazar la historia organológica de esta institución, a fin de dibujar un mapa de actuaciones de cada maestro y las posibles relaciones con la estética de cada momento. Tras un momento de apogeo desde comienzos del siglo XVI, será, curiosamente, durante la centuria siguiente cuando se produce una intensa actividad con nombres como Juan Argüete, y Julián Maqueda. Tras ellos continuarán dejando su impronta los trabajos de Pedro Merino de la Rosa, José Echavarría, Juan Manuel de Betolaza y Manuel Roqués. Cierra este periplo el nuevo órgano fabricado en 2004 y las últimas restauraciones.

The Burgos Cathedral has one of the oldest news reports on the history of the organ in Spain, at the same time that it preserves one of the most interesting sound heritages. The objective of this work is draw the organological history of this institution, in order to draw a map of the actions of each teacher and the possible relationships with the aesthetics of each moment.
After a moment of apogee from the beginning of the 16 th century, it was, curiously, during the following century when intense activity took place with names like Juan Argüete and Julián Maqueda. After them, the works of Pedro Merino de la Rosa, José Echevarría, Juan Manuel de Betolaza and Manuel Roqués will continue to leave their mark. This journey is closes with the new organ manufactured in 2004 and lest restorations.
