Imagens invisíveis

    Several questions surfaced and led this text: why the image production of certain social seg-ments became (and become) invisible to the restricted world of art? We start our text from a Argan propo-sition about art because of the work articulating technique/operationalization and mind/intellect/ima-gination. Thus, we analyze some aspects of the art of indigenous and other inviseble peoples and their appropriation by contemporary art, promoting a debate based on ancestry and another on the art system that promise certain visibility to these artists made invisible by the system itself.

    Um redemoinho de questões aflorara e conduz este texto: por que a produçãoimagética de determinados segmentos sociais tornaram-se (e tornam-se) invisíveis para o mundorestrito da arte? Partimos de uma proposição de Argan sobre a arte como fruto do trabalhoarticulando técnica/operacionalização e mente/intelecto/imaginação. Assim, analisamos algunsaspectos da arte dos povos indígenas e sua apropriação pela arte contemporânea, promovendoum debate com pé na ancestralidade e outra no sistema das artes que prometem certavisibilidade a estes artistas invisibilizados pelo próprio sistema.
