Jeff Wall: o inconsciente fotográfico

    The text seeks to establish, through an interpretative key that uses fundamentals of the theory of art and psychoanalysis, to establish relations between the photographic signiier of Jef Wall and the dream scene. In the artist’s staged photograph, we have the simulation of the psychoanalytic model in which the photographer is the unconscious, photography (as a medium) is the patient, the photo is the dream and the spectator, the analyst. In this request, it is up to the ideal analyst to give the "padding point", to ind meaning in the dream metaphor. Photography as a metaphor masks a persistent desire to question the ontological and formalistic reductionism of photojournalistic genealogy as the hegemonic discourse of photography.

    O texto busca, por meio de uma chave interpretativa que utiliza fundamentos da teoria da arte e da psicanálise, estabelecer relações entre o significante fotográfico de Jeff Wall e a cena onírica. Na fotografia encenada do artista, temos a simulação do modelo psicanalítico no qual o fotógrafo é o inconsciente, a fotografia (como meio) é o paciente, a foto é o sonho e o espectador, o analista. Nessa solicitação, cabe ao analista ideal dar o “ponto de estofo”, encontrar sentido na metáfora onírica. A fotografia como metáfora encobre um desejo persistente de questionar o reducionismo ontológico e formalista de genealogia fotojornalística como discurso hegemônico da fotografia.
