    A lo largo de este artículo se presenta una documentación que creemos aporta alguna luz sobre el origen de la imagen de la Dolorosa de la Iglesia de Santiago de Sevilla, según la cual entendemos que no tiene relación con la titular de la extinta cofradía de la Antigua y Siete Dolores de la parroquial de la Magdalena de la misma ciudad.

    Throughout this article, documentation is presented that we believe provides some light on the origin of the image of the Sorrowful Virgin in the Church of Santiago in Sevilla, according to which we under- stand that it has no relationship with the owner of the extinct Brotherhood of Antigua and Siete Dolores from the Magdalena parish in the same city.
