    En el presente trabajo de investigación abordaremos ¿Cómo se vulneran los derechos fundamentales en el tratamiento noticioso por parte de la prensa sensacionalista peruana? El objetivo general es: Analizar el tratamiento periodístico que el diario Ojo, donde -presuntamente- se trasgreden los derechos fundamentales.

    La investigación es de tipo cualitativa porque estudia procesos humanos de manera directa y profunda, considerando el contexto que rodea al objeto de estudio. Asimismo, su nivel es descriptiva, porque se identificó las variables más importantes del objeto de estudio y el diseño fue no experimental porque el investigador solo va a observar el fenómeno en su estado natural, no va a modificar la realidad.

    Se utilizó una muestra compuesta por 11 ejemplares del diario Ojo publicados entre mayo y junio del 2011 sobre el caso de la desaparición y muerte del estudiante Ciro Castillo Rojo elegidas según conveniencia. Se utilizó como técnicas la observación documental, la entrevista a profundidad y como instrumentos la guía de observación y el cuestionario.

    In this research work we will address how fundamental rights are violated in the news treatment by the Peruvian tabloid press? The general objective is: To analyze the journalistic treatment that the newspaper Ojo, where -allegedly- fundamental rights are transgressed.

    The research is of a qualitative type because it studies human processes in a direct and profound way, considering the context that surrounds the object of study. Likewise, its level is descriptive, because the most important variables of the object of study were identified and the design was non-experimental because the researcher is only going to observe the phenomenon in its natural state, it is not going to modify reality.

    A sample composed of 11 copies of the newspaper Ojo published between May and June 2011 on the case of the disappearance and death of the student Ciro Castillo Rojo, chosen according to convenience, was used. The documentary observation, the in-depth interview were used as techniques and the observation guide and the questionnaire as instruments.
