Las asignaturas científicas se enfocan de forma teórica, pero son ámbitos que requieren de práctica, con lo que la motivación e interés del alumnado disminuye, principalmente con la materia de Geología. Teniendo en cuenta que lo que más valora el alumnado de bachillerato es que los contenidos sean útiles, es complicado despertar su interés y curiosidad o hacia la historia natural. Por esta razón, se diseñó un proyecto con una serie de objetivos en un planteamiento multidisciplinar: conocer la estructura, composición, procesos geológicos y petrogenéticos y la historia de la Tierra, aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos a lo largo del curso, aprender a identificar in situ las rocas y estructuras geológicas, reconocer y describir los distintos períodos geológicos, familiarizarse con la tecnología aplicada a la geología, experimentar metodologías nuevas, trabajar individual y grupalmente, y disfrutar en un ambiente de trabajo científico en plena naturaleza. Posteriormente, apoyándose en la teoría explicada y en bibliografía recomendada, el alumnado redacta una memoria combinando los resultados del estudio bibliográfico, y los resultados, discusión y conclusiones del trabajo de campo realizado en el Parque Natural del Alto Tajo, Guadalajara, España.

Scientific subjects are focused theoretically, but they are areas that require practice, with which the motivation and interest of the students decreases, mainly with the subject of Geology. Since what high school students value most is that the content is useful, it is difficult to arouse their interest and curiosity towards natural history. For this reason, a project was designed with a series of objectives in a multidisciplinary approach: knowing the structure, composition, geological and petrogenetic processes and the history of Earth, applying the knowledge acquired throughout the school year, learning to identify in situ the rocks and geological structures, recognize and describe the different geological periods, become familiar with the technology applied to geology, experience new methodologies, work individually and in groups, and enjoy a scientific work environment in the nature. Subsequently, based on the explained theory and recommended bibliography, the students write a report combining the results of the bibliographic study, and the results, discussion and conclusions of the field work carried out in the Alto Tajo Natural Park, Guadalajara, Spain.
