Minoria Branca, Anti-portuguesismo e herança colonial em Moçambique

    The article analyzes the centrality of colonial heritage in the insertion process of the white European rooted minority in Mozambican society today. The favourable attitudes of the black majority in relation to the white minority tend to be paramount in common sense thinking than the unfavourable ones, with the white minority being represented, in terms of race relations, as markedly different from what it was in the colonial period. Another phenomenon that it analyses is the anti-portugueseness, a symptom of the vulnerability of the white minority in that mostly black post-colonial society.

    Cet article fait l’analise de la centralité de l’héritage colonial dans le procès d’insertion da la minorité blanche d’origine européenne dans la societé mozambicaine de l’actualité. Les attitudes favorables de la majorité noire par rapport à la minorité blanche ont une tendance à être plus saillantes dans la pensée du sens commun que les attitudes défavorables, une fois que la minorité blanche représentée, au niveau des relations raciales, est fortement différente que hors le période colonial. Un autre phénomène analisé est celui de l’ «anti-portugaisisme», symptôme de la vulnerabilité de la minorité blanche dans celle societé postcoloniale-là, majoritairement noire.

    O artigo analisa a centralidade da herança colonial no processo de inserção da minoria branca de origem europeia na sociedade moçambicana da atualidade. As atitudes favoráveis da maioria negra em relação à minoria branca tendem a ser mais salientes no pensamento de senso comum do que as atitudes desfavoráveis, sendo a minoria branca representada, ao nível das relações raciais, como marcadamente distinta do que fora no período colonial. Outro fenómeno analisado é o do anti-portuguesismo, sintoma da vulnerabilidade da minoria branca naquela sociedade pós-colonial maioritariamente negra.
