    La salud sexual y reproductiva se define como el completo estado de bienestar físico, mental y social, no meramente la ausencia de enfermedad o dolencia, en todo lo relacionado con el sistema reproductivo, sus funciones y procesos. Los estudios en esta materia son variados, así como el tipo de población femenina utilizada. Por el contrario, la distribución geográfica de las investigaciones se caracteriza por su homogeneidad lo cual dificulta la extracción de resultados extrapolables a todo el continente europeo. Las facilidades en investigación giran en torno a la naturaleza del estudio, formación y preparación de los participantes, estudios de carácter multicéntrico, existencia de estudios piloto, herramientas para la reclutación de muestra y la inclusión de grupo vulnerables y poco estudiados. En cuanto a las barreras, destacar la falta de adherencia y compromiso por parte de los participantes, falta de muestra y tiempo de seguimiento, generalización de resultados y esa homogeneidad en la distribución geográfica anteriormente mencionada. .

    Sexual and reproductive health is defined as the complete state of physical, mental and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, in everything related to the reproductive system, its functions and processes. Studies on this matter are varied, as well as the type of female population used. On the contrary, the geographical distribution of the research is characterized by its homogeneity, which makes it difficult to extract results that can be extrapolated to the entire European continent. The facilities in research revolve around the nature of the study, training and preparation of the participants, multicenter studies, existence of pilot studies, tools for sample recruitment and the inclusion of vulnerable and poorly studied groups. As for the barriers, highlight the lack of adherence and commitment on the part of the participants, lack of sample and follow-up time, generalization of results and that homogeneity in the aforementioned geographical distribution.
