    Esta investigación presenta un estudio de las prácticas artísticas que abordan los imaginarios de las pandemias del VIH/SIDA y de la COVID-19. El objetivo principal es analizar las principales estrategias artísticas que se han implementado en relación con las representaciones sociales de la enfermedad desde la perspectiva de los cuidados y los afectos atendiendo a las conexiones y fricciones que se establecen con dichos contextos pandémicos. Se considera que, durante las primeras décadas de la pandemia de VIH/SIDA tuvieron lugar, desde el arte, tentativas emancipadoras con un importante impacto tanto en lo social como en lo artístico, y se plantea si algunas de estas estrategias han estado presentes en las prácticas artísticas sobre la COVID-19 atendiendo a la evolución y transformaciones experimentadas en el contexto actual. La metodología implementada es de carácter cualitativo, con un enfoque inductivo-interpretativo. Parte de un estudio de casos múltiple que permite determinar una serie de categorías que funcionan a modo de cartografía a partir de la cual ofrecer un análisis de las prácticas estudiadas. La investigación pone de manifiesto el potencial del arte para contrarrestar determinados ejes sobre los que se asientan los imaginarios de las enfermedades infecciosas pandémicas en la contemporaneidad y para constituirse como una herramienta de acción en el seno de lo social, en colaboración con otras disciplinas.

    This research presents a study of the artistic practices that treat the pandemics social imaginaries of HIV and COVID-19. The main target is analyzing the main artistic strategies that have been implemented in relationship with the social’s representation of the illness from the perspective of the cares and the affections having in mind the connections and frictions that have been stablished with the pandemic’s contexts.

    It's considered that, during the first decades of the HIV pandemic takes place, from the artistic point of view, emancipatory attempts that had an important impact in the social and the artistic and it study if some of this strategy has been present in the artistic practices about COVID-19 taking care of the evolution and the transformations experimented in the actual context.

    A qualitative methodology has been implemented, with an inductive-interpretive focus and it starts with a study of the multiple cases that allows to determine a series of categories that works like a cartography mode from which offers an analysis of the studied practices.

    The research manifests the potential of art for contradict some of the bases of the social imaginary of the infective illness pandemic in the contemporary and for building a tool of action in the social, in collaboration with other disciplines.
