Museos en Galicia: Las identidades en escena

    Tomando un conjunto representativo de museos, trazamos una serie de líneas que consideramos significativas para establecer un perfil de las diversas entidades existentes hoy en Galicia. Esta aproximación parte de los museos creados y desarrollados desde 1970 hasta la actualidad, sin olvidar los museos creados con anterioridad a esta fecha y todavía activos. La perspectiva identitaria motiva este recorrido, por necesidad sumaria, pero se apuntan los rasgos que permiten identificar y singularizar varios grupos en el conjunto. También se plantea que la dimensión identitaria no es exclusiva del museo etnográfico, asomando ítidamente en museos no calificados de etnográficos, que reflejan en sus museografías o en sus prácticas versiones propias de la panoplia identitaria. Todo ello asomándonos a Galicia como escenario de lo tratado.

    Taking a representative group of museums, we have drawn a series of lines that we consider significant in order to establish a profile of the different entities existing today in Galicia. This approach is based on museums created and developed from 1970 to the present day, without forgetting museums created prior to this date and still active. The identity perspective motivates this itinerary, which is necessarily summary, but the features that allow us to identify and single out various groups as a whole are pointed out. It is also suggested that the identity dimension is not exclusive to ethnographic museums, and that it can be clearly seen in museums not classified as ethnographic, which reflect in their museographies or in their practices their own versions of the identity panoply. All of this is seen in Galicia as the setting for what we are dealing with.
