  • This essay takes into consideration the law n. 10/2021 of Lombardy that allocates the protection of the rights of people with disability to the regional ombudsman. After an overview of the procedural steps followed by the regional assembly in order to pass the law and the analysis of its main contents, a comparison is sketched with other regional laws that provide for similar functions or bodies. Lastly, some critical remarks are highlighted in reference to the effectiveness of its provisions.
