Resumen de Ídolos oculados sobre huesos largos en las cuencas del Júcar y del Segura

Se analiza el contexto, la materia prima, la tecnología y la decoración de los ídolos oculados sobre huesos largos documentados en las cuencas del Júcar y Segura, y se ponen en relación con los oculados sobre materia dura animal y sobre otros soportes del resto de la Península Ibérica. Existen precedentes de imágenes en las que destacan los ojos durante el Neolítico antiguo y medio peninsular y en otras zonas europeas y próximo orientales, aunque es aquí donde se generalizan durante el Neolítico final y el Calcolítico observando peculiaridades regionales. La presencia de estos objetos simbólicos en diversos contextos culturales nos muestra el gran alcance de los contactos que se producen en estos momentos entre las comunidades de la mitad Sur peninsular.

This work examines the context, raw materials and decoration of eye idols from the basins of the rivers Júcar and Segura, as well as the technology used in their production, comparing them to eye idols produced on hard animal materials and other resources from different parts of the Iberian Peninsula. Images with a focus on eyes are known for the early and mid Neolithic in the Iberian Peninsula, other parts of Europe and the Middle East. However, it is in the area discussed in this work that they become generalised (showing regional features) at the end of the Neolithic and in the Chalcolithic. The presence of these symbolic objects in different cultural contexts reflects the extent of the contacts between the communities of the Iberian south during these times.
