New discoveries of idols have recently been made in well defined archaeological contexts, providing information that helps in the study of such representations. This work describes the eye idols and human figures discovered at La Pijotilla, as well as others found in the Guadalquivir valley. Joint analysis alongside known idols, bearing in mind their distribution in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, allows more to be understood about the role of these representations in their territorial dimension and the part they played in social structure.
