    El artículo realiza una amplia exploración de las experiencias de diferentes organismos reguladores de diferentes países del continente americano, con el fin de elucidar la visión y la experiencia que sobre la actividad reguladora vis a vis los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) promovidos por la mayoría de los países del mundo, desde el seno de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), tienen esos entes. Para lograr este propósito, la investigación toma como base los informes de los congresos regionales que la Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos, elaborados con el apoyo técnico del ICAP, durante el bienio 2018-2019, y sintetiza los resultados logrados en estos eventos. El ensayo inicia con la discusión conceptual y contextual de los ODS, para luego examinar los problemas estructurales que tiene América Latina para ponerlos en práctica. Posteriormente, se analizan las experiencias de múltiples países en materia de regulación de los servicios públicos en electricidad, agua y transporte, para luego vincular esos temas con tres ejes transversales clave: comunidades y ciudades inteligentes, acciones por el clima e innovación, industria e infraestructura. Al final del artículo, se avanzan algunas reflexiones prospectivas que emanaron de los sujetos indagados, así como las conclusiones de todo el ejercicio.

    This article makes a broad exploration of the experiences of different regulatory agencies in different countries of the American continent, in order to identify the vision and experience that regarding regulatory activity vis a vis the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted by the majority of the countries of the world, from within the United Nations (UN), have these entities. To achieve this purpose, the research takes as a basis the reports of the regional congresses that the Regulatory Authority of Public Services, prepared with the technical support of ICAP, during the 2018-2019 biennium, and synthesizes the results achieved in these events. The essay begins with the conceptual and contextual discussion of the SDGs, and then examines the structural problems that Latin America has to put into practice. Subsequently, the experiences of multiple countries in the regulation of public services in electricity, water and transport are analyzed, and then link these issues with three key cross-cutting themes: smart communities and cities, actions for climate and innovation, industry and infrastructure . At the end of the article, some prospective reflections that emanated from the investigated subjects are advanced, as well as the conclusions of the entire exercise.
