Resumen de Poesía catalana traducida al euskera: la labor de Gerardo Markuleta y otros traductores

La poesía es el género más traducido desde el catalán al euskera, y en el catálogo de traducciones abundan las antologías que reúnen obra de diferentes poetas. Ha sido esta una vía importante en las relaciones entre las literaturas periféricas del marco ibérico. En dicha tarea, el traductor Gerardo Markuleta destaca, no solo como el traductor más activo, sino también por la explicitación de una determinada poética de la traducción. Este trabajo resume algunas de sus estrategias de selección y traducción, y reseña sus dos antologías más importantes en este contexto.

Poetry is the most translated genre from Catalan into Basque, and in the catalogue of translations can be found several anthologies that bring together the work of different poets. This has provided an important channel for the relations between the peripheral literatures in the Iberian framework. In this task, the translator Gerardo Markuleta stands out, not only as the most active translator, but also for having stated a particular poetics of translation. This paper summarizes some of his selection and translation strategies, and reviews his two most important anthologies in this context.
